In the aftermath of the First World War, the village of Wissant
It is transforming into a seaside resort with growing popularity. More and more city dwellers are flocking to the coast in search of sea air, and the village of Wissant is becoming a haven for many local families who settle there for the summer months. In 1931, the Wissant Real Estate Agency decided to capitalize on this growing reputation by creating the Wissant Tennis Club, a vibrant hub that would become the heart of the village.
For years, tennis brought generations of Wissant residents together around a shared pastime. In 2018, a team of enthusiasts took over to continue its history while respecting its original spirit.
Their audacious gamble: to restore tennis to its former glory, to create an ephemeral space where one savors the present moment, to resolutely commit to a better future. Tennis then becomes an odyssey where every participant lives in harmony.
